Equation of time in solar transit format

The numbers are the "wristwatch" time for solar transit (noon) on the given date. They can be used to set a sundial so that it points north ant tells the correct solar time. Solar transit format removes the potential confusion using "fast" vs "slow" terminology.

Seconds are formatted as decimals and there are no separators between hours and minutes. So 1204.25 means that the sun is directly overhead at 12:04 and 15 seconds at the center of the 15-degree-wide time zone.

Values change slowly in a 24 hour period so can be applied to wristwatch time at any hour of the same day.

It is very important to adjust for the local longitude that offsets the wristwatch time from solar time by 4 minutes per degree east or west of the time zone center.
